Day 8
Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in only six words. The
heartbreaking result: “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” Write a ghost story or
a love story in less than 20 words…
OK, this is even harder than it sounded. Wow.
For some reason he thought the pain stopped once you died. He was wrong.

It’s a cruel setup to give you Hemingway as an example. How could you not feel the pain of comparison. This definitely works, though.
The Hemingway example made it even more intimidating.
Yeah. There’s no way not to feel the pressure of “I need to be clever like that.” I mean, you did exactly what it asked and made it work. I figure it’s okay to let that be enough for this kind of exercise. You have 30 days to get through, you know?
Maybe that doesn’t sound gung-ho enough, but I’m a really big fan of not burning out.
